BofA told me this as well last night.?? I did some research about the "federal regulations".?? All I could fine was that if they accepted TARP funds then any write offs had to be taken within 93 days of any settlement agreement.?? Hence, no more payment plans over 3 months.?? I could find nothing regarding settlement %s.?? The manager that I spoke with last night also told me that "how low they will go" depends on your payment history with them and how long you have had your cc.?? I took my offer of 25%.

I had an account from BOA that was transferred to Creditors Interchange. They settled last week at 16 cents.

I also have a BoA account that is with Creditors Interchange.?? I have a balance of $9800 and I am just about to charge off.?? So far, my settlement company hasn't been able to get them below 50%.?? If you don't mind my asking, what was your balance and how late where you?
TIA,

Balance was 48K and settled to less than 8K. Keep at it w/ your settlement company, Creditor's Interchange is probably top 3 worst collection agencies in the nation - they're rude, they break FDCPA guidelines constantly, but their settlements are decent. 5-6 months behind I believe. Contact them towards the end of the month - settlements tend to be better.

Jack -
You are definately right about??Creditors Interchange being one of the worst with FDCPA violations.?? They??left threatening messages,??told my relatives details of my debt, threatened law suits, pretended to be licensed arbitrators, and??lied about??arbitration cases being filed in my County.?? You name it--they tried it.????Most of these violations??were left on voicemail messages.?? I forwarded these recordings to a consumer attorney and I am now in the process of suing them for their violations.?? I don't think I'll get much out of it.?? But hopefully,??it will help convince them to settle for a decent amount.
Wish me luck!
