Anyone used Larry P Smith & Associates in Chicago to deal with Collections problems related to pay day loans?

I'm sorry but I haven't heard of them. But did you do a search for them? Have you checked them out with the BBB? You can even call your state DFI and they can give you a list of companies that are licensed to do business in your state, they can even tell you if anyone has a complaint to the state about a company. Please research a company before you sign any papers. There are MANY scams out there right now because of the financial crisis.

Usually the (so-called) Lawyer and CA offices, pertaining to PDL's are not legit. They will threaten you with 'everything in the book' ( jail, come to your house, etc.) and they can't do that. I actually told a 'Lawyer', who said they were "representing a PDL company" to come to my house...I'll be waiting!! (LOL) they hung up on me.
