I have been in a consolidation program for 2 months now and have made two payments, but in the past few days I have received letters from 2 different CAs stating that my account was sent to them. Why would this happen if my creditors agreed to the payment plan. What do I do?Im confused as to why this is happening now.

Thank you Matt,
Just to let you know that one of the collection agencies said that they would work with them, and that I just needed the payment sent to them instead of the original creditor. My question was why after agreeing to the consolidation payment, and receiving two payments, would the original creditor send it to a collection agency.I was always sending payments to them before I entered the program.

If the creditors are holding your accounts and you are paying to them, you don't have to make any arrangements with the CA.

It might be possible that the creditor had contacted this agency before you started paying to them. Now, that they are receiving money from you, the CA is not aware of this arrangement after making the first time contact with you. Talk to your lenders and stick to your arrangement if they are accepting it. Explain this matter to the collection agency so that they stop calling you anymore.
