I am not sure, but I have heard that they delay in contacting your creditors and the creditors do not wait for so long and file lawsuits to recover the debt through garnishment.
I think that you can contact your creditors directly and settle the debt with them.

"We???re a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) in good standing." - this is directly from their website though they have no rating and not accredited. They also claim to have a 97% success rate though inception of this business was only in 6/27/08.
They also claim to IAPDA and TASC but who knows. I'd keep looking.

Think Debt Relief in their website has identified themselves as a member of IAPDA, I did not find their name on the member page of IAPDA.
Since BBB is member funded, you may not get the actual image of the company from their records. Google with the name of the company and try to check customer experiences. Moreover if the company agrees to refund the amount you pay them in writing in case you withdraw from the program, then you can go with the company.

Your money goes into a bank account that you control, not them. So if you want your money, you can get it back. They also changed their name recently because their old name caused them some issues. I was told that another company had a similar name and they were fradulant. This company has been around a long time but changed their name. They used to do student loans and converted to the debt management. Not sure if they still do student loans or not.
