I had storefront totalling over $1000 but have them down now to only $200.
If I could even get one of these paid off it would free up enough funds that I could make it, but as it is it is too tight to make anything more than interest payments.
I just found this sight and am reading and learning but wondering is there a way to do this without anything showing on my credit?
Unfortunately with the ecomony the way it is I don't think I any family member has the extra cash to spare right now.

Payday Max is illegal and in Canada.
Loanpoint USA is part of Geneva Rothe and illegal.
Payday One is legal but they will make payment arrangments.
My best advice is to close your checking account.
You can go here and read up on the steps to take when dealing with illegal lenders.

okay thanks thats what I am thinking of doing but do you know if any of this will report on my credit? Does making payment arrangements show up on a credit report. I am really trying to keep all of this off my cr report, that is my #1 concern at this point and am willing to get a second job if thats what it takes, so far I have'nt been able to find any info on credit reporting.
Most illegal PDLs do not report to credit reports but if they do
Most illegal PDLs do not report to credit reports but if they do you can dispute them and most are removed as the illegal lenders don't have a lef to stand on to make it hold up.
You only owe the illegal lenders what you borrowed. All fees or rollovers charges count towards that amount.

There was another post that you can send them a template with your states laws and usually they will immediately send you a response with a balnce due of only the principle or 0. I have evn seen some people on the boards receive refunds. I have the template saved somewhere, I'll post it when I find it. Good luck!

wow that would be awesome if you could find that! I am going to do some more searching around this site later on tonight when I have some more time.

I have been doing a lot of reading of this forum last night and this morning and am alternating between "I can get this paid off" to panic & "oh no I can't"! I am going to give it another pay period and see what I can do. I am thinking if I can pull a couple of double shifts a week for about a month that will put a serious dent in this mess. If I can figure out a way to get even one of these paid off it will free up enough cash that I should be okay.
The thing I dread the most is having to close my checking account and am trying to avoid that if at all possible.
I guess its a bit depressing to me that nobody here seems to be actually paying them off, but maybe by the time most people come here they are already past that point, but it makes me wonder if I am just delaying the inevitable. So in a way I guess I do feel somewhat better that there is a solution, but in a way I feel worse, because now I am starting to think there is no way to actually pay them off. We are planning to buy a house this summer and I am starting to wonder if this is going to mess up those plans...

Many members here have paid off PDL companies. It just may not be on the lender's terms due to the customer being financially overextended. :?
We advocate paying all lenders whether Legal or Illegal. However, many that find this site have paid tons of rollover/exstention fees an Illegal loans that have surpased the amount originally borrowed. In that case a consumer should demand a paid in full from the lender. Different approaches are taken with Legal and Illegal lenders. Just do your research and ask as many questions you need to. We are here to help.

Closing you account can be a pain but in the end it is the only way to stop them. They will continue to take out their fee with none of that money going towards the loan.
When you do contact them to pay it off, that is if you can get a hold of them, they give some obcene amount as the payoff. Then you look back and realize you have paid them hundreds if not thousands of dollars already.
I'm sorry I am not very good at writing and expressing myself:)
I'm sorry I am not very good at writing and expressing myself:) I meant that it seems people are not able to get these pdl paid off without having to close out thier checking accounts etc. I have definetly paid more than the amount due on these. A couple I have paid off and then foolishly took out another loan with the companies. A couple I have paid down and then asked for increases to max them out again. Maybe I am in denial!:) I am going to give it one more pay period working as much as I can and if I am not seeing any progress then I am going to have to look at taking action.

CashDirectExpress I have definetly over paid but from reading thru the forums it sounds like they are one of the tough (but illigal) ones to deal with.
LoanPointUSA-overpaid
PayDayMax-overpaid
Sagamore-over paid but I am not sure if they are illigal or not.
I wonder if PayDayOne would work out payments without me closing my account?
The storefront I have is Cash Express and I have WAY over paid them although I am sure they are legal.

I'm managing to pay mine off without closing my account. HOWEVER, let me stress that my PDLs were from legal companies and they ALL honored the revocation of my authorization to allow them access to my bank account. If even one of the companies had not honored that and tried to withdraw the full amount due, I would have been in a world of hurt.

You can try with Payday One. They are really easy to work with and have some of the nicest customer service reps.
I would call them up and ask for payment arrangments.
