I received a collection letter from Scott Lowery of course threating to sue. Can someone please tell me if they are legal in TN? If not, what am I supposed to do? Thanks!

Well, the original creditor was Aspen Mastercard. I do own them money just not the amount listed on the letter from Lowery. The letter states that Lowery is representing Jefferson Capital Services, which I have never heard of and I have never received any correspondence from them.

Jefferson is a JDB and Lowrey is a CACH franchisee POS.

Then what you should do is send both of them validation letters.

Then what you should do is send both of them validation letters. In your letter also state that you have had NO contact with any of the firms list in the letter and see this as a possible violation of the FDCPA
