Collection agency attempting to collect on a debt already paid.

Last year I was sued by a collection agency and their attorneys. In order to not have a judgement against me my attorney and I negotiated a settlement. This was paid and I have ALL the records stating so.
I am now receiving correspondence from Midland Credit ( I believe this is their name ) attempting to collect ON THE SAME DEBT !!!!! I am also sure that they are the one's calling from 8am to 9pm everyday as well. Yes, I have caller ID and simply don't answer the phone if I don't know who it is.
I hate to sound like an idiot but I don't know what to do. I am so angry I could scream. How can they collect on a debt which is already paid??? Please help me.

I received a letter from the attorneys stating the debt has been settled/paid which references the court case number and other documentation. I also have the paperwork documenting the amount settled for, copy of the check, return receipt stating that they received the money.
Is there something else in which I should have done? Is my nightmare starting over again? I settled because if I received a judgement I would have lost my job. I am currently hanging on by the skin of my teeth as it is with my employer. This will only fuel the fire for my dismissal.
If they are calling you at work, answer the phone and tell them
If they are calling you at work, answer the phone and tell them that you cannot receive calls at work. Get their address and send them the settlement information.

Once again I hate to sound stupid but I am stressed beyond stressed. Is there a template letter with strong and I mean strong wording of such intent? They are calling my home phone number, personal cell number, and my work cell number. If they are calling my primary work number I don't know as I contract out.

Have you answered the phone and told them that this debt has been settled thru the courts and to stop calling both your cell and work phone numbers?? Mildland may not be aware that the debt was settled.

Call them up and tell them that everything was paid, and to give you a fax number so you can fax the documents over to them. And then tell them if they keep calling you that you will sue them and kick them in the nutz. LOL

OK, after I originally posted I have now found out they are calling my family and divulging my personal information. Now, I am really ticked off. This is my personal business and no one else's. They are calling my parents home several times a day as well as my brothers home. Both my brother and my parents have told them that there is no such person living there ( I don't live with either ) and have requested that they stop calling. First, this debt has already been paid. I have spoken with the collection agency and told them. I am unsure as to how much was understood as there was a language barrier. Now, they are trying to collect on a paid debt AND are harassing my parents and my brother. I would greatly appreciate suggestions on what to do next. Personally, I'd like to sue the ever loving s**t out of them. Can I???
Paul in regards to recording calls from CA's. If they have that
Paul in regards to recording calls from CA's. If they have that message in the beginning of the phone conversation that states "All calls may be monitored or recorded for training purposes, and blah, blah, blah." Then you have their consent to record the call.
A judge and attorney has said and ruled that "the employee's (CA's) aer under the impression that the calls are recorded so you do not need to ask the person if the recording is there"
