We have recently enrolled in a debt settlement program with Debt Remedy Advisors. Prior to this we were never late on our cards but like alot of the stories here racked up high debt because of numerous circumstances. We didn't want to go the bankruptcy route so after researching and alot of thought we decided to go with settlement.

We are now 1 month behind and our phone rings from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. How long will this last?

Welcome to the forums, if you are getting called ANYtime before 8a.m. local time you need to log it and if possible record the call. collectorsare not allowed to call before 8a.m. if they do they are breaking the law and can be fined $1000.00 for each call. You need to call Debt Remedy Advisors and verify that they are working with the creditors and tell them of the calls too.

i hate to tell you but its just the beginning. Hopefully your company will send them out letters to stop calling you. This should slow them up but they will still call and try to harrass you. in my experience after 5 or 6 months of me not answering the phone i would get one randomly here and there but it did slow up. get a answering machine or caller id worked wonders for me if the number was strange i did not answer it.
