my question please is this:
Can a summons be issued without your knowledge and/or if this happens would it show up on your credit report?

A summons has to be court ordered and should be served by a bailiff of the court or county sheriff. As far as you not knowing about it then that could be an issue :?

Summons do not show up on credit reports, that would be a judgment. A judgment occurs after you have appeared before the court you were summonsed too. If the party that sued you won in court, then it is possible for a judgment to be awarded by the court.

I suggest you show up in court to avoid any default judgments from being a no show. More will be along to offer you additional help, hang tight
