I received a call from PDM telling me that I owe $560.00 for a payday loan that I defaulted on with Access Processing. The lady's name was Ms. Watkins and she told me that since I live in Texas and they can't garnish my wages but they can file a judgment against me and stipule my check for the entire amount plus attorney's fees which would come out to about $2000.00. Well Ms. Watkins called my former manager as well and is now going to call my Human Resource's department. She told me that the police were going to come to my employer and serve me and my HR rep. I then let her know that I was going to contact my attorney and call back. Well I called back because a couple of my co-workers told me that I needed to get the attorney's name and license number and also their mailing address so that I could mail a certified verification letter to them. Well when I called Ms. Watkins direct number I was told that she was not available. So I ended up speaking with Rhonda. I informed her that per FDCPA once initial contact with me they had 5 days to mail me a letter of advising me of my rights and that they had failed to do so. She then told me that when I signed up for the payday loan that I agreed that they had the right to contact my employer and that I agreed that my employer would become financially responsible for the debt is defaulted. I also asked for the contact information for access processing but Rhonda advised me that they did not have that number to give out. I am just confused and also embarassed that my former manager now knows about my personal matters and also the HR department. What do I do?

This all sounds like a bunch of crap. For one, they can not try to enforce this Quote:

that my employer would become financially responsible for the debt is defaulted

Two tell them to send the police to serve you and your HR department. your HR department has nothing to do with this unless a judgement is granted and then they get mailed papers tell them of the judgement. What the heck is Quote:
and stipule my check for
Even if they could get this thing. per fed law they can only take out 15-25% every pay peroid. I would tell that you will mail them a money order for the full amount by certified mail so you need there street address. Then when they give you their street address send them a DV and a C&D letter. You also might want to check to see if this PDL is legal in Texas. also if you signed a wage assignment for them you need to write a letter revoking the wage assignment and give it to your employer and to these jerks

Access Processing is a payday loan. I told them I wanted to mail a money order and they said I could only pay over the phone with credit card or checking account. I know that I owe the money and have no problem paying back my debt but I want to pay to the actual creditor but I do not know how to contact them. This is so fustrating and I don't really care if they call me but calling my employer, that is just wrong.

pdm JUST CALLED ME YESTERDAY, MS. WATKINS ALSO, called my place of employment and threated to detach my wages. I was stupid enough to give her my account number and make arrangements for payment. Now finding out all this crap, and they never called me back with the name of the creditor, telling me they were collecting for a company out of business. The 2 companies I have delt with are still in business, obviously it's all lies. Is pdls even legal in PA, and what do I do now?

has anyone ever heard of cash direct express? i did a loan through them and they were suppose to take the money out on a specific date and took it out a week before it was due. this caused ALOT of bad things with my account. the results of what they over drafted my account were almost as much as what the loan was. they now say i owe them 3 times more then i borrowed. they call my work at least 4 times a month. when i called to talk to someonoe they were very rude and told me they were taking me to court. can they do this??
