Anyone ever dealth with Capital Collections?

I have done everything possible to get rid of them. Debt Validation letter, BBB, AG, FTC even a lawyer but they still call me at work, called my parents house not sure how they got their number.

Help I live in MN they ignore my lawyer i have filed harrassment charges but they have a PO box so we are having a hard time serving them papers.

Definitely sue them, but not just for harassment. You are entitled to Court costs, reasonable attorney fees, and $1000 for these obvious and flagrant FDCPA violations, so be sure that your attorney adds all these violations as charges. Get sworn affidavits from all the people that they have harassed over this alleged debt to bring with you to the court.

Bottom feeders tend not to care about the law. If they get sued, they just pay you the $1000, court costs and attorney fees, and keep on keeping on - the money in their line of work is just too good.

There should be a 3 Strikes law against illegally acting and ethically repugnant bottomfeeders such as this shark, I tell you.

I am glad you are fighting back! Stay strong!

supposedly my amount that now owe them went from 250 to 3000 in a week legal charges they are saying they are calling my parents, my boss, my cow-orkers at work. They will tell whoever answers the phone about my account they have information on me that i didn't provide like what type of car i drive. My lawyer has dealt with them before and they have a hard time getting ahold of them their address is a rented po box not a building so it is hard to catch someeone. I need them to quit.

I'm going through a similar situation with Capital Collections and they have threatened to have me arrested, contact all my contacts and employers and tell them my situation to cause me to be "embarrassed" so I would pay. They say they are not collectors but attorneys and they have the right to do this and don't have to follow the FDCPA. I was willing to work with them, but after their tactics, I almost don't want to pay them at all. Has anyone got them to stop their harassment tactics?
