Why does a Debt Management Plan ask if you have over 1000 in medical bills?
We are about to begin a debt management plan through CCCS. One of the first questions on the application is do you have over $1000 in medical bills. Why do they ask this? Will they help with these bills?

You would have to ask your particular company. There are some debt management/settlement companies that will only handle bills over a certain amount. I got a call from one who told me that they only handle accuonts with balances over $750 and from a different one who said they can help me with any accounts with balances over $1000.A good DM company,in my opinion anyway, will accept all your debt. I dont think ive heard of a DM company that wont help with your medical bills though. So if you are concerned about why they are asking, just call and ask them why its relevent.
