ok, so as I'm slowly finilizing my settlements now waiting for confirmation letters from OCs next step is to update my credit report, all my settlement letters are saying "settled in full" but they also have outstending balance on the letter so I'm wondering what will my credit report show? as an example let say I had CC with $10k balance, settled for 25% and confirmation letter reads "... after accepting payment of $2,500.00 account is settled in full... " but on top where is CC number and reference number it reads balance: $7,500.00
does this mean that technically account is closed/settled and I do not owe them money but at the same time it will be reported as "settled in full" with outstending balanced and they won't be anywhere word "PAID" ??? I'm just wondering what to expect and if that is the case is there anything I could do afterwords to remove/fix this so my report shows "settled" but does not show outstanding balances? can I inquire via OC to "do me a favor" and remove outstanding balances?

any one with expiriance doing this?

I think since most of my settlements are directly with OCs and those with CAs aren't real bought by CA but CAs are working on behalf of OCs shouldn't I'll be talking to OCs once all is settled? do I have chance of any success to ask creditor to update my credit report with PAID rather than settled in full? since I did not real pay in full why would they consider doing this?
