wage garnishment

I have four cc that I am in the process of doing debt settlement with. Three are with a debt settlement company and the other one I am trying to do myself. All of the cards are in my name only, but my husband is now concerned that they may try and take a motorcycle that is in his name only or garnish his wages. Can this be done or will they only come after me? Wouldn't they try to garnish my wages only. I am in California and am not sure what can be done.

Your debt is your debt. The debtors will not be able to take anything that is in your husbands name. If your name is on it too, then that's a different story. The only date his debt and your debt are not considered seperate is in divorce. At least in Kentucky it's that way.
