Just trying to get a feel for what Citibank is doing these days. Anyone settle recently???? (By recently I mean since after all of the bank bailouts.)

I do not have any debt with Citibank right now, but I have heard that they are settling the debt for 40 to 50% of the outstanding amount if you are already been delinquent on the debts. I think that you should call Citibank and negotiate with them to settle the outstanding amount.

citi - rubin and rothman
Citi sent someone I know to court 5 months after they stopped making payments - through Rubin and Rothman. Disgusting after they got sooooo much money from the bailouts - I personally settled with them at the 35 and 45% marks at about 180 days - they let me pay it out in three payments. You never know I guess.
