Anyone had a luck lately with either citi, citi business or American express/Zwicker. I've got them left to go, and frankly the 55% they are offering -- is just too much. Anybody settling lately? -- stopped making payments in Nov 08 - so I'm about 5 months in.

Yes, settling the debt for 55% is not a very good deal. I think that you should negotiate to settle the debt somewhere between 35 to 40%. If they do not agree, just wait for them to sell the debt to a debt collector with whom you can easily settle the debt below 40%.

OK - Settled a Citi - account for 35% of balance. Settled 169 days from date of missed payment. Would have liked to settle for less -- but the balance on that card went up almost 5% in that time frame.
