Payday loan companies are legal in the State of Florida. You need to just check whether they are licensed in Florida by visiting the link "https://real.flofr.com/ConsumerServices/SearchLicensingRecords/Search.aspx". If they are illegal, then you need to pay them only the amount you have borrowed. However, if they are legal, you are also required to pay the interest rate and other charges as per the state guidelines which you can find by visiting the link http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/explain-pdls-laws.html .

thanks for your replies!

the pdl with amscot, i am continuously paying off and taking a new one within 24 hours to pay bills, etc. as for the internet loans, all are due on 5/15/2009 and are showing scheduled to debit the following "fees"

titan-60 due 5/15

sagamore 60 due 5/15

ameriloan 60 due 5/15

united 90 due 5/15

loan point 120 due 5/15

obviously these are just the "rollover fees" which, after viewing fl law are illegal

I am gathering from what you wrote that these are all new loans and you have not paid anything towards them. The good news is that under The Florida Consumer Financial Act they are non collectible. You do however have a moral obligation to repay the principal. There are several lenders on your list that are very difficult to deal with but they will have to accept your terms! You may get turned over to a third party collector but that does not change the legal status of the law. Be firm!
