I have about 10 Hospital bills listed on my Credit Report they rage from 25.00 to 200.00 from an emergency room visit. I had insurance and never received a bill. The company's that are trying to collect are collection agency's. Does any one have a good letter to validate the amount, a letter that has the hippa info in it please help

SOL is not out yet i think. I get the report from Transunion where would I look for this info?

Thanks

Welcome to the Community :D First, I would contact the insurance company and speak with them about the bills-what was paid, the balance, what you are responsible for, etc.

Are the 10 bills from the same ER visit? I would go then, to the hospital, and go tho the account representive and ask for a print out of the charges, etc, so you can see what they are,who they are from and the amounts.

Did you have a co-pay on your insurance, or do you pay a certain percent?

Sometimes the hospitals will work with you on payments, even if they are sent to collection, but I would first see what your insurance says about them.

When are these bills from-the date and what state are you in?

The ER bills have been turned over to a collections agency and they are on my credit report. I was hoping to find Like a Validation letter of some kind to send to them to make sure they are legal to collect(something that has HIPPA in the letter). If they can not prove this then they need to remove this off my credit report.
