I was just recently served court papers to respond to this debt that is several years old. I was paying on the account until a year ago. I was unable to pay anymore due to circumstances. It got sold to where ever until now I received this notice to respond to Borack and Associates within 20 days.
Anyone out there know what to do on this? Should I request Verification of the debt or what..

Well if you were paying on it, it is still within SOL. You must respond to the court or they will get a default judgement against you. You can ask for debt validation in discovery but sending a DV wont stop it now.
