You can try going for one secured credit card. Depending on the secured card program, many will report each payment to the credit bureaus, and it will be listed as a crest card (and not secured) so you should be getting offers for new credit after 6 months of good payments. Your score is also highly determined by credit to income ration, so be careful you do not extend yourself out too far. Probably no more than 2 cards should be ok...

I learn me lesson hard way and I do not think at this point I need or want credit card at all, if there is any reason I want to have CC is because sometime I need to pay online or over the phone and it is more secured to use for such purchases CC then debit card from checking account, so honestly I do not want or need CC now. I have as I mentioned mortgage and car loan at this time no other debts I'm just thinking in advanced 1-2 years from now when let's say get new car loan how in best posible way to repair my credit, if 2 years from now I will have still only mortgage and paid off loan car at that time but no credit cards at all for past 2 years where I should expect my credit to be? if that's making any difference since credit to income was mentioned my income is about $120k + and my mortgage payment does represents about 30% of my income, so question is do I need to apply for new cards to show that I'm good payee again or is mortgage payment history and car loan enough to be back in 700-800 range again?

Yeah, that should work, especially at 30% of your income, that would free up quite a chunk of discretionary funds so I am not surprised that you would not want to tie all that up in 20-30% interest credit cards....

I agree with ChrysHenderson because over extending myself was a major downfall for my credit scores. I really messed up by getting too many cards. I do have one secured card and I think it is helping. I use it to buy very small things every month like a couple snacks and they always report regardless of how much I spend.
