I found this about NACHA rules on ACH revocation.

Hopefully it can help some of you having issues with your banks. Especially BoA.

Another tool to throw at them.

BoA is a direct member of NACHA yet they ignore the simplest rules.

I recently hooked up with Langhorne Debt Solutions and they advise me to close my account. I wanted to get started with them right away but was unable to close my account. This was two weeks ago. That day, I went to my bank and talked with the branch manager. I told her striaght up that I have gotten myself into a payday loan nightmare and I needed to close my account and I wanted to make sure that they didn't force open my account if someone tried to send a PDL through. From what I have read in this forum, that's possible.

Since I had pending transaction, I could not close my account right away. She told me that I don't have to close my account that if I completed the appropiate forms they will not allow any one to debit my account they would also not process any checks without a wet signature. So, no electronic checks just so happen the PDL lenders tries to send a check through authorized by me. I completed the appropiate forms and my payday was three days away.
The items were returned. Since I had signed up with Langhorne on that Monday, I knew that I was going to get calls. So, I faxed each payday lender in writing, not to contact me at work. I had a couple of calls but I told them don't call me. Langhorne contacted them within a 5 day business period to let them know all their communication efforts should be directed to them and not to me. I haven't received any more phone calls.

Even though Langhorne advised me to close my account they still sent a revocation to debit my account to all the pdl companies. That rejected their authorization to debit my account.

I haven't had any problems or phone calls via work or home/cell from pdl lenders with Langhorne Debt Solutions. I haven't had any problems with my account being open. I have the branch managers information and they will not allow the pdl to abuse my account. I have been banking with them for years and so far so good. I haven't had any issues with not closing my account.

Good luck to all!

I am glad it is working and that your account has stayed closed.

I had no issues with my credit union but some banks close the account but then an ACH hits and they open it back up causing NSF charges. Many people have had problems with that.

They have also had issues where the bank would not recognize that the customer revoke the ACH and they were still debiting from the account. The banks refused to reverse the charges.
