got an email today stating high country loans is now Rocky Boy Technologies! what the heck kinda name is that?!

I have a loan that is with High Country & have not yet received this email, however, I have done some research....my loan was changed from PDL Loan Centers to High Country. I have never been provided with account #'s or any info other than a phone number & of course the general email of "customerservice@" There are various links connecting the names of several companies related to this...it appears that PDL Loan Centers, High Country, RBT Loans, Rocky Boy Technologies & Impact Cash USA are all one in the same company. I pulled this information off of Impact Cash USA website:

This is at the top of the website:
A wholly owned subsidiary of Rocky Boy Technologies, LLC, a 100% Native American Limited Liability Company located on the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation. If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Service Department at 800-707-0102.

This is at the bottom of the website:
High Country Ventures, LLC, is a wholly Native American owned business operating within the exterior boundaries of the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation, a sovereign nation located within the United States of America.

I searched all of their available pages without putting any of my information in (I don't give any such satisfaction any longer) & the only contact us info given anywhere is the web address & the phone number as listed on top of the page.

Anyone considering business with these companies should RUN-don't walk as fast as you can!!

I would just like to inform you all to be careful of people calling you and threatening you about payday loans that you do not have. There is a group of people from California with very heavy accents that are calling and threatening. They even told me they were going to interfere with my social security. The name of the company is called FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY ASSOCIATE LAW FIRM. They use American names also. The one that spoke to me was named Joe Brown. I am going to notify the Federal Trade Commission as well as contact the DA's office in California and New York. PLEASE BE CAREFUL. SO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. There is a website called RIPOFF REPORT. They are in there.

Since Rocky Boy (which is the name of the indian reservation they are on in Montana) is a native American owned company, is there anything different about settling with them as opposed to any other PDL? I have 2 with them and donot want to get into a battle with them becuase they operate by indian laws (as it states in the original contract.)

Yes, the Financial Accountability Associations people started calling me today. They are very threatening and don't try not to answer your questions. They would not give me an address. They claim I made a PDL with Fast Cash last year in November and that Fast Cash has turned the unpaid debt over to them. Of course, this is not true. They keep telling me to have my attorney contact them and that if I don't respond in a timely manner they will show up at my work and my house with the "cops." They claim I am being prosecuted for check fraud and a few other things and that my state is a low tolerance state and blah blah blah. The scary thing is that they already had my name, address, place of work and address, bank name, last 4 of ss #, and they must have gotten it from a PDL database because that is all the things the PDL asks for. My PDLs are all paid now and I don't owe them anything so I am wondering where they got my info. This really sucks!!

High Country probably changed their name because they are under investigation by a ton of agencies.....FTC, BBB, FBI, Montana DOF. So far by being an Native American tribe they are able to hide behind the law and claim immunity.

FYI there is another tribe located in Miami Oklahoma DBA 500 fast cash, united cash loans, and ameriloan that is just as bad as high country.
