What companies do business under this name - rbt loans?

Keep getting emails and phone calls, they must be affiliated with another payday loan site!

Hello everyone, RBT was formerly known as Impact Payment Systems. This is their number 1-800-707-0102. Hope this helps.

I had a payday loan with PDL which switched to High Country and now they are saying they are RBT which is like Rocky Boy or something along those lines. I have spoke with them and they claim everything was transferred to them from PDL the email address and the website they provided with me do not work. And the rep actually admitted that i had paid $525.00 and i only owed $300.00 plus the fee of $80.00 which was incorrect i actually had paid them $625.00 still overpaid. the number i called and actually spoke with some is 866-631-8457 and the fax is 866-630-2659 which it went through but they never responded only with your next payment due date is... well sorry but my account is closed and your overpaid! im hounding them daily for an overpayment just like they hound everyone on this website for payment when they have already been paid and i filed a report with the BBB. Hope these numbers help someone. Best of Luck to you all. Take your life back. im all for paying my debts, but not being screwed in the process.

From you experience, do internet PDL companies have to obey the laws of the state the borrower lives in or the state where the business is located?

Thanks for the info on the websites. GFSIL has taken $1200 from me for a $300 loan. I know they are out of state and possibly out of the country. The loan was agreed upon over the phone and I do not recall them stating I would be charged so much for a $300 loan. Anyway, I faxed them a letter asking for my balance, what I have paid thus far, a copy of their license and their physical address.

They called me and left a message stateing that I need to call them and discuss the matter over the phone as they are not required to provide me with any of the requested documentation.

I have since then, told my bank to stop all ACHs to GFSIL which complied but can only do it in six month blocks and I emailed my concerns to the Ohio Department of Commerce so they can advise me if I have a "case" or not and at which time I will pursue this with the Ohio AG.

She called another name out and I didnt recognize it so I asked for the website and she told me rbtloan. While she was going over my information I was trying to access this website. I couldn't.I hung up on her because I didnt remember applying foe a loan with them. She said it was a month ago and they are just getting back with everyone. I didn't buy it.

You should just close your current bank account, and ask your bank to open a new one for you under a different account number. That way you don't have to go to the trouble of going back every six month to do an ACH Debit block. Once you close the account you had on file with the Payday Loan company, they are not allowed to access/debit from any of your other or new accounts.

They would need to win a court judgement against you in order to get your accounts frozen so they could get paid. But no Payday lenders are going to do that because the loan is so such a small amount, and because most of these companies are operating illegally/or just barely legally, so they don't want to call any more attention to their operations then is needed because they know they'll get fined and/or shut down once their dirty dealings are exposed in a courtroom.

I actually recently got a letter from New York State Attorney General's office saying they had won a 5.2 million dollar settlement on a law suit against a a payday lender that was operating illegally in New York state for years. Many consumers like myself who had victims of their fraudulent and unlawful conduct, are getting monies back from the settlement pool to compensate us.

If enough people complain to the Attorney General's and BBB in their states, then it can often light fire under people to bring down these payday lenders.

Yup, filing complaints is the key, my hopes are each state AG's office will become overwhelmed with complaints to the point where they are forced to act on it.

I used to work for said company as a collections agent, and I can tell each of you that when you take the loan out, you are told the APR rate which is usually around a thousand. You are also told that if you pay off the entire loan before the first payment is due, then you will only have to pay the $90 service charge on top of the $300 that you borrowed. Personally I believe that taking out pay day loans is a very foolish thing to do in the first place, but if you do it, listen to everything the person verifying your loan says to you, so you know how it works instead of just nodding your head pretending to listen so you can have your $300. Hope this helps.

Well....you can go to your state AG, or BBB, or even the FTC all you want. Bottom line is this, Rocky Boy Technologies and ALL al the payday loan websites they operate are all owned by the Chippewa-Cree//Rocky Boy Indian Reservation. This is a soverign nation and it is NOT accountable to ANY other law agency. Meaning, they can continue to rip you off (take money out of your account with many different names) as much as they want to, and there isn't a damn thing you or anyone else can do about it. (see "soverign nation")
