I got in debt do to unemployment.

Several months ago (almost 1 year), I was one of the lucky people that was "let go" due to a downsizing company.

My credit score was over 800, middle score, prior to the loss of my job. It was not until several months later that I found myself trapped and started seeking for credit card help. By this time I had already exhausted my savings and my retirement money.

As credit card interests started accumulating, balances were rising, plus the unavailability to obtain work, the credit cards started falling behind.

When I found a job, the credit card blemish was already reporting on my credit, leaving me with outrageous charges and fees.

Together we can make a better future

Hi Johns
Can you tell us how much is your outstanding debt amount, including the principle, interest rates and other charges and you present credit score?
I think that you should call up your cc company and try to settle the debt for less, if you cannot pay it off in full.

Thanks for the advice sc.

I did try to do it myself, several occasions, and I was denied. The lowest I was able to get by myself was down to 70%.

My total debt was $20,000.

I have hired fedscoemail deleted..pm as my debt settlement company and they are doing a superb job. They have negotiated a couple of credit cards down to 20%. I just have a couple of more cards to payoff and I will regain my life back.

As far as my principal balance, I think I am down to $12,000 more or less, the interest rate varies between all of the credit cards... Some of them at 24% others a 29%...

I don't know my credit score, but it must not be good. However, fedsco is working on my credit to get it back in track.[samebox:db5181738c="paulmergel"]no solicitory emails please.[/samebox:db5181738c]
