Hi... Im here because I had fraud done to me. someone opened a Fidelity account in my name and basically transferred 15,000 dollars on an account they made in my name. Fidelity took it to court the first couple times I went to court and I moved. After i moved they had another court date and sent it to my old address and it entered a default judgement which I did not know until maybe a couple weeks ago when they "somehow" found out my correct address and served me papers to appear with an attorney to see about my assets.. Is there a way I can have this case reopened?

The same thing was done with an apartment complex now keep in mind I have credit alerts on all 3 of the Credit reports and never was I contacted. The apartment complex which I never stayed in also gave me a default judgement. Is there a way to have these cases reopened or cleared from my credit report?

Yes, you can reopen the case by filing a motion to vacate the default judgment only if you have not received any judgment notice from the court after the judgment has been passed. In the meanwhile you should file a complaint with FTC and become a registered victim of identity theft.

Hi Lindellw
The online form is filled up in five steps. At the sixth step, you will be asked to check the information you have provided and confirm the same. Once you click on the submit button, you will get a complaint number and a link which will ask you click for getting a printable version of the complaint. You can take a print out of it while filing a complaint with the local police station.
