Professionalism

I admit that many many many of the post edited was complete and utter trash but there isn't any need to trash talk back and act just like the OP. I just think we should be more professional about it.

As long as people are expressing their opinions in a constructive way, I personally have no problem with it, even if I don't agree. Case in point: PDL Owner, whom I personally disagree with, but I defend his right to come here and express his opinions in an intelligent way, which I believe he does. But, the second he starts spouting off against our members, that's it. And the good news is, he has yet to do that, from what I've seen.
But he is an exception, as FYI is an exception, to most folks in the Collection industry, who would do just that.

I think there should be something along a form edit tag when we edit something.. something like This post was edited because we are here to help the guest and members of this community.. or something like that..

I just feel that if we work as a unit with the same uniform the moderation will eventualy become more productive and if we continue to use that same uniform it will discourage long term members from responding more and more to such comments.
By no means am I saying that anyone should not have their own opinions, but we represent this community and we should always present our best foot forward when dealing with problems. We want new commers to feel that our team has complete competency in helping to keep this site as friendly as possible.
There will always be those unhappy people who need to lash out at others. Keeping things above their level just gives us a one up on them.

I agree,FYI. I think we shoul maintain a level of courtesy and helping.
I know that others trash here and say nasty things, but there are ways of dealing with that, and I for one, am not going to play into their game-it only keeps them going.
There are some I dont' agree with, but as long as they are not being nasty and giving correct info, I have no problem

No, I don't think we should take away from anyone's personality at all. But when moderating or help in running the site all actions should be on the level.
Responding to post in the forum and giving advice should be all "you", but as a representative of this site we need to maintain even the slightest form of respect if not for the person you are reasponding to then for the person who may read it.

I agree. Although I have to admit I have wanted to let some guests like Tom321 have it.
