credit report

I enrolled with experian where I can check my credit report anytime. I looked at it today and they have put my address that I had 20 years ago as my current address, well its listed first now. I have copies that I had printed off back in march and it shows my correct address listed first on those and the old address listed 6th. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I have some account in collections, but I never used the old address on those, I haven't used that address in 20 years. I'm wondering if one the CA are trying to pull a fast one over on me, and not notify me properly. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, I'd like to hear them.


i had the same thing happen to me and yes it was an old creditor involved. i simply called the bureau and spoke to customer service and asked where the address came from and they told me. i told the lady i never lived there so it was disputed and eventually address dropped off my report and they put my correct address. also, i disputed the creditor and it too was removed due to its age..but yes watch your cf for things right now really closely..

I'm watching mine close, I do have some current charge offs and have been dealing with some CA's. I really have tried to work with them, but they are impossible to deal with. Anyway, I have proof it wasn't like that, I just don't know which ca might have put that on there. Thanks for you input.
