Ok i will try to make a long story short.
My husband got a better paying job a year ago, but we had to move for him to take it. So we thought along time and decided it was for the best. We bought a house but could never sell the one we were in. 7 months later this great new job laid him off. We are lucky because right away he was able to call and get old job back. So we moved back into old home in old home town. He makes less money now so we cant make motgage payment on the house. We accumulated extra debt just to get to the new job location and now we are loseing everything.
I can not now afford truck we just bought so are about to give it back ( not sure what will happen with that).
We have about 7-8 credit cards with about $13000 on them. and all but 2 of them are late by a month.
Discover card offered a settlement that would take $416 off the balance and i pay 538 for 3 months but if i could pay that then it wouldnt have been late in the first place.
Im not sure what to do now.
House we bought is on the market but will probably forclose because we cant pay it
Truck will be repoed so i wont have a car to work or get kids back and forth.
We are turning off cell phones to save that payment but now will have ETF.
and are disconnecting satillite but again will get another ETF.
Any ideas?

I am sorry you are going through this problem... Here are my 2 cents:

- I don't know what you can do on your debts that have collateral (house and car). On the house, try to do a short sale. On the car situation, see if you have a family member that can possibly help you finance a less expensive car that you will be able to afford.

- On your credit cards, try to settle them. If you can't get anywhere with them, try calling fedsco. They have helped me out greatly and were able to settle credit cards down to 20% in some occasion. email deleted..paulmergel
