Thanks in advance to ev1 who writes in. Now for my problem.
My job just decreased my pay by 20% and I am unable to keep current w/all my charges/bills etc. my credit cards/loans total around $22,000. I do not own a house, I live w/my mom in her house and pay the mortgage for her due to she can no longer afford it since she is 76yrs old and is on social security and of course the house & utility bills and my car pymnt is priority right now. I am scared to just stop paying ev1 and I am thinking about consolidating but not sure of who to go to for this. I live in Massachusettes, so does anyone know of any good consolidating companies in Mass? My other options I guess w/b to blow them all off, but really dont want to do that, so any advice you can all give me is greatly appreciated!!! :D


You'd be hard pressed to get a consolidation loan. It sounds like you may be able to qualify for Chap 7. If you don't qualify for 7, I'd look at settlement. It doesn't sound like you have any assets so I'd bet you'd qual for a 7. I'd look at debt settlement before Chap 13, but I am biased. :D
