I recently took out a loan with the Cash Store and was wondering how they work, are they legal in TX, and how does their collections work?

yes they are legal. The parent company is cottonwood financial. and if you just took out the loan and are asking about defaulting I would be a little leary about doing that. You may want to talk with the manager of the store where you took out your loan. I know TX laws are a little tricky because some are cso's (I think thats what there called) and TX laws about bad checks are not good for you either.

I had to have my check get returned to them NSF before I could do any type of payment arrangements with them. Then they only gave me so much time to pay it off then they sent it to a law firm and I had to pay the lawyer. So you may want to watch your step with the cash store.
