I am wondering do people actually get any type of resolution or closure with these internet pdls or do they just "go away"?

I have been trying to follow threads and it looks like some get PIF but the majority I am not able to find any closure. Which would actually be fine with me, I am just wondering what to expect.

Mine are almost 3 weeks past due now and have sent them all letters. I am in TN so a couple of mine are legal. One said they would work out a payment plan and would get back to me in 2 days but have heard nothing and on the website it says my account is on hold. I really don't want any of this crap showing up on my credit report.

A couple places I have NEVER heard from. CreditProtectionDepot has called a few times but has never left a message and today has been silent, so far.

I guess the best way to proceed is to just let it go until I hear from them again?

okay thanks-maybe I just did'nt have the right expectations on this. My husband was in a bad accident a few years ago and unable to work and we stopped paying our credit cards and they all rang the phone off the hook 20-30 times a day for almost a year (I kept the ringer turned off) until we finally filed BK, so I guess I was expecting something like that.

My main concern is just clearing up these legal pdl's so they don't show up on my CR. I just finally got it cleared up from the BK.
