My dear Santa
Date: Sat, 12/24/2005 - 13:57
Just a few days we have in our hand to say “Good Bye 2005â€. Another year has come to its end. This is the time when we wish to get some gifts from you. But what can I ask except World Peace and Happiness this year?
Sufferings of human just wet my eyes when I try to look at our achievements and stories of success. We might have sent shuttles to space but we could not stop the destructive storms. Series of natural devastations have changed lots of lives and it will take years for them to come back on to the usual track.
We had to witness lots of bloodshed all over the world. Several incidents have snatched innocent lives. Hundreds of families are suffering from the bereavement of losing beloved ones. But we have not ceased to exist! New leaves are coming out from the debris of destruction.
We are going to celebrate one more Christmas, as usual. Hope lights and colors fade all our pains this time. Let peace rein the world ever after and all who are in distress can give it a fresh start.
Merry Christmas,
Stella

Merry Christmas, Stella
This is so true. We have not recuperated from the pain of these natural calamities and something new takes place somewhere else. The sufferings of the people who lose everything in these disasters are immense and sadly enough, some of the people even have to part from their lives.
Ironically, we are thankful to god for giving us this life but in fact, he is also punishing us for some of our sins of the past. There are so many changes in our mother earth in just a period of time.
Let us condole for those who have been the victims of these destructions in the recent past. Let us also pray for those innocent people who have been the victims of Tsunami exactly the day after Christmas last year. They never thought that their overnight celebrations will perhaps be the last one in their life. God! Save us all.

It's so hard to think about all the people who may not have a place to stay for christmas or who don't have family. Hope everyone has a merry christmas.
