I'm paying $50 per month to a collection company, but they still call me to pay. What should I do?

I was just worried that they might tighten the thumb screws if the OP stirred the pot, which is why my response was so conservative.
And I really hope the OP got it all in writing but as long as they have payment proof, they can show the court (if it should go that route) that they were doing the responsible thing.
