So this company purchased a debt of mine that i beleive is past the SOL. I asked them to validate the debt and they sent me a letter saying they purchased the debt from the company who sent them an electronic file with my name and what not and an amount i owe.
i asked them to provide me with more proof other then stating they have an electric file and they repsonded that they have already provided me with proof and that they do not have to provide anymore and if i send them any more letters asking for proof said they will dismiss the letters.
my question is is an electric file all the proof they need? i wanted to send another letter saying that it is still not good enough proof and i still consider the matter disputed. so im asking for advise here on what to do next.
Thank you

I'd go with 6 -- I actually always thought it was 7 for some reason, but I may be confusing that SOL with the SOL for credit reporting.

Google Statute of Limitations, Credit Card, New Jersey and you'll find all kinds of charts showing the SOL for various kinds of debt in each state.
