All of these have now had a payment returned, and we will be/have been getting contacted by the companies.
Which of these are NOT legal in Missouri? I've talked to our bank, and long story short I cannot close or block ACHs to our acct. We're overdrawn by $650+ and the acct is set to be automatically closed 06/11/09 (which might be for the better?) We have a lot of debt, and plan to start tackling the fees owed on the acct and the past as soon as this PDL nightmare is resolved. We've already setup payment plans with our storefront loans, and will be paid off of those in 4-6 weeks.
Any suggestions? I need to get moving on this ASAP before we start having contact to our references and/or workplaces. I've seen the letter we can send saying we're removing their ACH authorization, etc.. but I'm not sure how to successfully modify the letter for Missouri or what information to add in our situation? Any help is extremely appreciated!!! ASAP would be wonderful! Step-by-step, too, please :-)

Missouri requires internet based pdl's to be licensed by your state. I know that Payday loan yes, Ameriloan, Kingston Financial, OneClickCash, and UPFRONTMONEY are NOT legally licensed to lend to Missouri residents, I'm not certain about the other two, though I doubt it. They are all more than paid off, all you are required to pay them is the proncipal amout you borrowed, not a cent more. CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.

You don't need to secure your account. You need to close it. Most of the internet lenders you listed will still try to hit your account even after you revoke their authorization. They're hoping to get lucky and that you won't go to the trouble to get the transaction reversed.
At the very least, you should go to the bank and see if they can make your account deposit-only. That way your paycheck can still go in and you can still write paper checks. But no one will be able to electronically debit the account.

Yes, the bank - branch and national - were not very much help. They said they can only do a block when there is actual fraud; cases like this where it was someone I have "done business with before" do not constitute that, and it is a civil matter. Basically, they won't let me close my account without paying the $600+ balance, and even then it could be re-opened by ACH transactions, I can't put a hold on it of any kind, and there is nothing I can do to stop incurring fees. They told me the only way that will stop is when the bank closes it after so many days of a negative balance (which will be on 06/11). So, that's helpful.
Is it beneficial at all to send a modified version of the letter allowing them to have the opportunity to call the accounts "even" where they are, and paid-in-full, saying if they do so now, I'll avoid filling complaints with the BBB, State, etc? Or is that a useless plan? Any help is much appreciated.
Getecash only has a license in Utah. They are also illegal.

Yes, you should close that account. The PDLs are not known to be very cooperative when it comes to removal of Authorization for ACH, to put it mildly. Here is some important info to read before you close your account.
No, the banks are rarely helpful. It's nice when they are, but that seems to be rare as they profit by all the over-the-limit fees.
When you close it, MAKE SURE that it is completely closed and any ACH requests returned to the requester. Often banks will re-open the account and run the ACH through anyway - again, to make that profit.

Ok, we sent out all the emails with letters, offering to not file official complaints if we can resolve the accounts ASAP. Just got word back from upfrontmoney (I wrote up a modified version for them, since they say they're "not" a payday loan company) that the account has been paid-in-full!

oh yeah, make sure you do keep the PIF letters on file, one lady tried to tell me that my account was getting sold to an outside collection agency and would report to the credit bureaus, called my house and job a few times to tell me this, i quickly sent the PIF from their own recovery department.
