BofA Quit Calling = Sent to Collections?
Date: Tue, 05/12/2009 - 01:11
BofA quit calling me daily (multiple times daily). Left me a message (voicemail) saying I had an offer waiting with a phone number and extension number to call back. Should I call?
Does this mean they are getting ready to send it to the collections department or a third party debt collector?
The cards are ONLY 90 days past due!

Hi guest
If it is past due for 90 days, there are chances that they may send it to collections. However, I think that they have called you up for a settlement agreement. If they are willing to settle the debt for less, you may get the offer in writing and pay it off.

I would call them back to see if the offer is still valid. Otherwise, if you wait too long, they will probably send it to collections. Make sure you get everything in writing though, and don't send them any money without a written agreement, otherwise they could come back later and ask for more money.
