ok so i am attempting to settle some rather small debts that i incurred while i was in college. they are credit cards to retail stores. my question is--as i am in contact with the collection agencies who now have these debts, is there any way to get them to report them to the credit bureaus as "paid in full" or "in good standing" or "paid as agreed"?? idk...im probably going about this all the wrong way, but i actually do want to pay my debts and rebuild my credit simultaneously. any advice?!?!?

You can negotiate a pay for delete. There is a letter on here that can help you with that. Pretty much if you agree to pay a certain amount then they agree to delete the infomation on your credit report.
