Has anyone had to deal with these guys? They are absolutely horrible. They got awarded a judgement against me a while back and started garnishing my wages in December of 2008. The garnishment is almost over (thank goodness) but when I called them to confirm that they said I had another one pending.

This supposed pending garnishment had a Satisfaction of Judgement filed on it back in March of 2007. They claim that it was done in error and tried to petition the court to open it back up in December 2008. From what I understand they have 90 days from the time the Satisfaction of Judgement is entered to do that in the state of Arkansas so they don't have a leg to stand on. I did have an attorney draft a letter telling them to cease trying to collect on this garnishment and to also send me a copy of a Motion to Dismiss the Petition for Write of Scire Facias. (Whatever that means :D )

I really hope that this is the end of my dealings with this law firm. They are bottom feeders and I have heard so many horror stories about them. Because of them doing this I also called my Attorney General's office and was told there have been numerous complaints about them in Arkansas. I filled out a formal complaint and really hope something is done about them.

These people are nasty and relentless. A judgment was filed against me on August 27, 2009 for a Citibank credit card. I tried to settle with them through an attorney and they wouldn't even respond. I am scared to death they are going to freeze my bank account or garnish my wages, and I work at a bank. Can someone tell me what happens after the judgment is filed? Do these people keep after you for unsecured debt? Can I close out my bank account before the freeze it? What do I do next? Please help!
