After reading about virtualdeal debt consolidation journey: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/settlement/citibusiness-amex.html I have decided to follow in his footsteps and stopped all payments of my credit cards as of today. I will continue to update my own experience with the 6 credit cards that I owed to. Here's a break down of all my credit cards and debts:

1) CitiBank Divident - MasterCard = 23,000; Last Payment Made = 4/20/2009; Due Date = 6/1/2009

2) Bank of America - MasterCard = 20,000; Last Payment Made = 4/15/2009; Due Date = 6/5/2009

3) Chase - Visa = 7,000; Last Payment Made = 4/16/2009; Due Date = 5/27/2009

4) Bank of America - Mastercard = 6,000; Last Payment Made = 4/15/2009; Due Date = 5/28/2009

5) Amex Express Blue = 3,000; Last Payment Made = 4/16/2009
; Due Date = 6/2/2009

6) Capital One - MasterCard = 10,000; Last Payment Made = 4/1/2009; Due Date = 5/19/2009
========================================
Total Credit Card Debts = 69,000 (approximately)

I hope it will turn out well for me.......

Well I dont know... I have owe 55k to BofA on 3 cards and Chase I owe 13k. So far BofA said they would take 30% but I need to get it going by the end of the month (May). They left me alone untill the past few days then I said I was working with my bank on a mortgage mod and it might still take 2 or 3 weeks. They said ok we will check back with you in mid june. Chase I said the same thing to about my mortagage and they have not called me in a week or so. So far for me I have not had any problems talking to people I just tell them I am working on it and they seem to leave me alone for awhile.

Capital One called me so much the first 2 weeks. Probably received 2 - 4 calls per day, until one day I called them back.

I told them my story, but they kept wanting me to pay...
Cap1 - you are 2 weeks late, can you pay now?
Me - No..i am broke! my wife lost her job, i have mortgage..and made up a story that I am behind on my mortgage...hehe.
Cap1 - Well, we can make your current on your payments if you pay us a minimum of $111 from what you owed 350 minimun now... we will also make it into 3 payments and wave 100 bucks!
Me - I do not have money right now
Cap 1 - can you try to get us 111 within 1 week.
Me - I do not, i am broke...bla bla ....I will try to ask from my family
Cap 1 - Okay...i'll note this, but the Collection call will continue to come in.

Since my talked with them 3 days ago, there's been 'zero' calls....give me a little break until the other CC company come to town =).

Citibank has been calling me 5x a day since monday of this week. I will give it another week (total 2 weeks) after the due date to tell them that I am broke.

One of my friend told me to consider walking away from my mortgage and use that money to pay the cc settlement....would this foreclosure idea a good way to take? or should i continue to make payments until I am able to sell the house....or just give it up to the bank..and deal with the bad credit reporting?

I have been receiving calls the past 2 weeks about 10x + a day from all of my credit cards....so today was the day that i called back the BAD GUYS:

BOA - which i owed 2 credit cards total of 30k...they didn't offer any plans for deals, they just told me when i have money to call them back. I told them i was in the process of moving home and selling my house..so i will not have money for 2 - 4 months..they said call us back in 2 monthos...

Citi Bank - was the nicest..they told me they will defer my bills for 2 more months + no fees on my account until i move home and my wife and i are back on our feet...we can resume payments in september

Chase - was a dray to talk with...i think it was just the agent...she was a witch...she didn't seem to want to help or care about my situation..so i just sat there and let her talk and dragged out the conversation...with eventually 'no i do not have money to pay....or able to afford you withdrawing money from my account...from each of my payment..since i need the limited money i have from my pay check to pay my mortgage and my home bills...'. she gave up, so told me to call them back when i am able to pay....what ever you do...or say..just say 'i can commit to something i can't promise..or able to pay....since i am behind in all my bills...or able to make ends meet...on daily survival bills or expenses....etc.' that worked for all of the CC company =).

American Express Blue - was the same as CHASE...they kept asking me to pay 100 bucks? 75? 50? 25? i told them the same as above..until they got tired of heard me...

So overall...the calling back the CC companies weren't as bad as i thought....it beats not talking to them...just call them back one day....when you have some time..and let them know your situation....gl guys.
