Agnetha....I've ready many positive stories on forum. It seems it is possible! It is worth a try anyway. I'm gonna give it a try. I saw post by Ali and Guest 5 just recently ...

I have gotten 2 PIF letters today and it has only been two weeks since I sent the letters out! It is a wonderful feeling to be in control and get my paycheck again!

There is some light at the end of the tunnel. You just have to be persistent and put some effort into following up regularly.

I am happy to report that I found this wonderful website on April 17th, 2009.

At that time, I had three store front payday loans. I have made extended payment agreements with all of them and will be paid in full by middle of June.

I also had nine internet payday loans...they are illegal in my state. I have contacted all of them via email stating they are illegal in Iowa, that I no longer authorized them to withdrawal on my account and that if they do not send me a paid in full letter and refund (if one was due) I would be filing complaints with the Iowa AG, Iowa Dept. of Banking, filing complaints with the BBB and the FTC. I filed complaints on all that did not readily comply with my demands.

To date, six of the nine internet companies have put my balance at zero, I have received three paid in full letters and one refund (Pack Mgt/B&L).

I am still waiting on the three other paid in full letters and should be getting them any day now according to conversations I have had with them.

I am really only having problems with one company, VIP Loanshop. They are based out of the West Indies. The customer service person I spoke with was extremely rude. I kept my cool while talking to her. I am still communicating with someone there trying to resolve the situation.

The other companies have not responded to any of my emails.

I would recommend keeping very good records of any communications you make with the companies, including the dates and names of those you spoke with. I have found this helpful when following up later. Some of the complaints I had to fill out also asked for the names of those I communicated with. I have done the majority of my communication via email, but when they didn't respond to those, I decided to contact them by phone.

I am SOOOO happy to have found this site! I got paid on Friday and I still had over $1000 left to pay my normal bills!
Thanks to everyone for their help! I hope to be PDL free in about a month or less! I can tell you on April 16th, I did not see an end in sight to this problem, so hang in there! It can happen!
