Hello-has anyone gotten any calls from a man claiming to be a lawyer working with 500 fast cash to sue? And that you had a court date scheduled and you needed to pay your full balance right away or you were going to go to jail.

Well he called my work repeatedly and was screaming at me for my lawyer's information-saying that if I didn't pay my balance of $875 by 11:00 that morning that I was going to get picked up and go to jail. Needless to say I freaked out and almost paid. But thought better as time went on. I have been pretty bad about paying off some of my loans-and I'm afraid of what they will do to me. But I am doing the best that I can.

Relax and take it easy.
Are you dealing with a collection agent or the loan company directly?
What state are you in?
When was the last time you paid on this debt?
If you are dealing with a CA have you recieved anything in the mail from them and if so when?

Collectors work in an inverse manner the bigger jerks they are the less likely they can prove their claim.

The same thing happened to my friend a couple months ago. They aren't going to file anything against you and they are definitely not going to take you to jail. Please do not let this company scare you. If you give us more info, we can help you but in the meantime please don't panic. You may have even overpaid them because they like to add on all kinds of money to the balance when they call and threaten you like that.

500 fast cash is part of MTE and totally illegal.everything they say is false and meant to get you to pay no matter what.
how much was borrowed, and how much was debited total.include fees and rollovers.sass is right.you may have overpaid this loan.being illegal they don't care.

I live in connecticut and fell into the payday loan trap but with the help from the people in this forum I have been able to work most of it out, I even received a refund fron 1 company. Thanks, my problem now is with pdm i have a loan with payday max. Pdm is calling me night and day at home and work speaking with my supervisor and now requesting our hr contact, I believe to try to garnish my wages, I have sent paydaymax a copy of the cease and desist letter that was posted on this sight, I have blocked the ach at my bank. Is there anything else I can do so they can not garnish my wages and stop calling my work. Thanks
