Oliphant Collection

I have a question. My mother received a call from Oliphant last week. They stated she owed money from 4/2006 and as of 3/2009 it was being reported on her credit report. It is for a MasterCard that she was never aware she had. She asked why they were just contacting her now and they stated they were unable to find her until now. She has lived at the same address since 3/2005 and had the same phone number since then as well. Also, she requested that they send her a copy of the receipt with her signature on there or proof of a purchase. They stated they could not provide her with that. We have disputed it with the credit reporting agency, but how else can she rectify this situation? Thanks for any help!
