Dealing with Payday Max and Professional Debt Mediators

Hi, I recently posted about help with Payday loans in NYC. I appreciate everyone's responses but I would like to know if anyone has specifically dealt with PDM. I know they aer not legal in NY.
I took the loan out in September 2008, and then lost my job so I did not make any payments. They called constantly and sent me emails and I had spoken with them saying I was not able to pay at the time but when I had the chance I would. Over time I ended up owing $800 on a 300 loan. Then they sent me a "final email" saying they would settle for $600. In April of 2008, I recieved a call from an Indian man at a call center and he was rude and saying CashCo (probably a parent of PDM) was suing me for fraud. Then I got a call from Professional Debt Mediators and they too verified that PDM had made a claim against me. It was/is on my credit report and I am going to dispute it.
We made payment arrangements for $240 and then $100 every month until the $600 debt is paid. I recently made the $240 and will be making the next $100 in 2 weeks. Now I legally only need principal so in 2 weeks the debt will technically be PIF. But in since I did not pay them for 7 months are they at least entitled to some form of interest?
After I make my last payment I will close my account, but they currently have the # for my the debit card I recieve my benefits on. Will they be able to force a charge on that, even though I only authorized a transaction once?
Thanks!
