I have 2 payday loans that I recently fell delinquent on. They both set up payment arrangements with me. One sent an email confirmation outlining the arrangement in detail(i.e. dates & amounts of withdrawels). The other (payday loan yes) stated that I owed them $500 even though I only borrowed $300 plus a $90 fee. They said that they could offer me an agreement of $300 and it would be PIF. I made an arrangement over the phone for 2 payments of $150 plus a $5 processing for both payments. I requested an email confirmation twice for this agreement and I never received one. I called to my rep. a week later to change the payment amount for the first transaction from $155 to $55 because I could not afford it. The rep., Pat Granger, assured me that I called in a sufficient amount of time for the change and tacked the $100 onto a 3rd payment date. I asked for an email confirmation of this transaction and never received one. Low and behold, Payday loan yes debited $155 instead of $55 out of my account. Pat Granger acknowledge that we had changed the arrangement and that her company made a mistake and for a full week I went thru a nightmare with this company trying to get the $100 placed back into my account. I had to borrow $100 in order not to have my rent check bounce. I had exactly enough money in the bank before they took out the $100 extra. Very long story short, they are not giving me the $100 back eventhough Pat Granger verified with me and her supervisor that the "mistake" was on the companies end. There is really not much that I can do. I am afraid that they will make more "mistakes" with my account. Even if I close it, they could still file false info with a credit bureau. If I request another email confirmation for the last $155 to be withdrawn, do they have to give me that? That will be the only proof of an arrangement that I will have. I need something in writing from them. Is it my right to have a confirmation of some sort?

payday loan yes is an illegal lender period. They are in the bahamas with an illegal us address so they may try to threaten you but its only trying to scare you into paying, only pay back the principal,if you have already have more than $300 debited from your account you owe them nothing more.

i would see about putting a hard block or closing your account.the bank manager can actually open a new account and help with direct deposit.only me is right.this is an illegal pdl.if you paid the 300.00 in fees you owe nothing more.also file AG and FTC complaints against them.in the future never agree to anything over the phone.get it in writing first.then get an address to mail payments.again,go to your bank and see what they can do to help as far as you account goes.you are right not to trust them.they can and will debit whatever whenever they want.close your account and open a new one.
