In October I will default on my cards (most likely). Will it make a difference on my wife's credit if I take her off as a secondary on my accounts?

Thanks

She's just authorized user.

I added her name to my cards when we got married. She never had any credit before marriage since we met in South Korea. Long story short, she got a 700+ credit score just for marrying me. She didn't think anything of it at the time.

Thanks for your reply.

she won't default. That is not my consern. I'm just trying to protect my wife's good credit from my potential future default.

If me being an authorized user on her account will affect her credit if I default on my cards then I want to remove my name from her cards so I don't hurt her credit.

I want at least one of us to have good credit in the event I default.
