Being threatened

I live in AZ & spoke with an "investigator" today, he threated me, saying that if I don't pay back $1025 by the end of the month (29th) that they will suspend my driver's license and I will be charged with a felony. He said that because I took out the loan from AZ, but it originated in CO, it crossed state lines, so it's a felony.
I explained to the man that I have lost my job due to disability & am waiting for Social Security Disability. He was very mean & kept raising his voice at me.
I feel trapped & don't know what to do or if they can actually take my license away & charge me wth a felony!!!

First off, you can only be charged with a felony for a criminal offense--and defaulting on a PDL is not that, trust me. In order to really help you, can you tell us who you borrowed from, and how much your loan is? It's going to be OK--from what you're saying, it sounds like you ran into someone using a typical scare tactic. You need to educate yourself on what your rights are.

exactly right.he is threatening because he has no legal recourse.everything he said was against the law.do not worry,do not pay him,and if possible do not talk to him again.once more.he broke the law threatening you like that.in fact file FTC and AG complaints.also file a police report for the harrasment,because that what is is.
