There are tons of books, tapes and software promising to help people that are in debt reach the promise land of debt free.
But there's one problem...99.9% of the people never follow through and get out of debt. Why is it with all of the tips, tricks and techniques that are at everyone's fingertips the vast majority still fail?
It's because of the "Mindset" of the individuals. One must understand money first before they can attempt to get out of debt. Take it from me back in the 90's I ran through millions of dollars.
I didn't understand how money worked and how the actual configuration of money in its form and color actually makes us want to spend it.
Also the need for material objects. But when I figured out that my Mindset was totally twisted about money, I was able to pay off all of my debt and save money rather than spending all of my money.

It is very important to understand the impact of bad credit in our everyday life. Once we can understand its importance, we would automatically refrain from going for high interest debts like payday loans and the like. Instead, we will concentrate on budgeting our expenses and keep a portion of our earnings in a separate savings account to take care of emergency needs. So I think that knowledge of credit and budgeting are important factors for changing the mindset of people.
