Their first call to me was on May 8th and I told them at the time that if they had no documentation there was nothing to discuss. I was told that if that was my stance it would move from pre-litigation to litigation. All conversations have gone pretty much the same way, also telling me that they would send a VOE to my employer, which I have not seen at this point. I can't send a C&D because all they will tell is that they are in NY, no address. They have never even said how much i owe.

Request their fax number; fax them a letter, a Cease and Desist Order, which requires them to STOP contacting you via phone. Their harassment must cease under the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. If they refuse to provide a fax number, they are in violation. If they refuse to provide all documentation you request, they are in violation. This is NOT a law office, by any stretch of the imagination. They are collectors, and according to the information gathered, they are FRAUDS and SCAMMERS.

The first thing you need to do is have your daughter put a fraud alert on her credit reports and file a police report. She will need that report to prove identity theft and send it to any collectors and the credit reporting agencies
