I am located in MS. I have attempted to contact a few of these companies and request that I be sent to collections and have payment arrangements set up. They have all denied the request. I have about $600 in fees removed ever paycheck and it is drowning me. I need so "step-by-step" assistance on how to deal with this. My major concern is my bank, as I do not know yet if they will put a debit freeze on the account. If they do, I am willing to bet they will charge some crazy fees themselves. It will be 2 weeks before I can close the account and open a new one, and I do not know about my current banks ACH policy in regards to closed accounts yet.

All of the companies are internet based, but I believe the FBDLoans one is through an actual bank, I am not sure, if I am wrong please let me know.

What is the process for dealing with these companies? I made a mistake and I need my funds back, as I am close to being laid off of my job and need to save all I can now.

I just spoke with the branch manager of my bank. He said I could come in and have a new account opened and that would block them from making the transaction.

Now, what do I need to do before then? I have one company will attempt debit on Friday and if they do that my account will be in the negative and I can not switch accounts if I owe on the old one.

What do I say to the companies before hand to let them know that they are illegal? What about those I still owe funds to? Please help ASAP

I did a search and it seems like the only ones that are legal is the fbdloan from first bank of delaware. i am unsure of paydaymax, but i would assume anyone working with moneygram (i went to walmart to pick up check) must be legal somehow. i really need some help guys! what do i send to these people today to show them they are not getting another dime out of me that i do not owe!

PayDay Max is definetly not legal. They are not even located in this country. Some here have said they are out of Canada but thier website says they are out of Grenada.

I would not send the letters revoking ACH to these companies until after you have secured your account. Look under the stickies under how to deal with illegal pdls (or something like that) I think its the 13th post down in that thread is a sample letter you just have to adjust fro your state and situation.

I'm sure a seasoned / veteran member will answer but why would you think that would open you up to civil action? If they are illegal and you are complaining they are loaning illegally? they already have your info anyway (illegal PDL's) - social, address, phone number, references anyway!!!!

i'm concerned about my name being placed on public record for making a complaint throught the state, should the state decide to pursue these companies. i don't even want refunds, i just want the accounts closed if i am done paying the or arrangements to be made for the owed amount. i just want to know if that is done. i also need to know about these letters and the next steps to take.

i sent letters to 4 of the companies. i had to fax one to paydaymax, as they have no email address.

oneclickcash and 500fastcash removed access to my account this morning online. i haven't heard from either of them or the other companies yet. i suppose they do not realize that they haven't received funds from a closed account yet.

i have to type up a different letter for iadvance and ezpaydaycash, as i legally owe them $300 each. is there a template letter for a valid loan? how should i request arrangements for them to be paid off?
