It may drop a few points but it is not hard to bring it back up to much higher than where it was. The best thing to do is get a secured credit card from your bank, once you have the money to deposit, and then pay off the balance in full every month a few days early! Your bank will love you!
Pull your credit reports and challenge whatever is inaccurate or old! Do this only a couple times every month as not to set yourself apart and send up red flags. Many creditors do not have the time or staff to investigate old bills and will not validate them. Wait thirty days to make sure they are really removed!
